Yipee for no nerves!

Sorry that I sound like a hick and sorry for my mu-mu AKA a white girls grandma recovery outfit.

I haven't been able to walk most days lately and I was just able to skip through the house to grab our UPS driver a Gatorade.  I would call that a success.  I had the procedure yesterday where they burn of the aggravated nerves on my spine to take away the pain.

Thank you for the prayers!!

Update From Bed

Exciting news about Tuesday and boo news that I can't walk today.

Last week instead of getting another round of ESI shots, he gave me more numbing injections.  I actually had a completely different reaction to them for the first couple hours and honestly had a full hour of NO pain!!!  So that has lead us to do burn off my nerves on my facets, instead of the ESI shots next Tuesday.

Hope you have a wonderful father's day weekend!!

Feeling Blessed

Sorry if I'm rambling in the video.  I feel like we have a plan of action with my back and that I've gotten four great opinions from doctors.  I would still love to get in with the Carroll Clinic.

On Tuesday I'm going to get an epidural and then schedule a procedure to check out my discs a little better than the MRI.

I can't get over the people that God has placed in my life.  They are so amazing and I honestly feel that everything I am going through is for a reason.  It has brought my faith and love to a new level.

Have a great weekend!

Paul's Got My Back!

I received numbing injections in my back today!  I did it without sedation and I'm quite proud of myself!

Paul spent the entire day yesterday with me going to doctors appointments.  I ended up seeing a pain management doctor and he suggested numbing injections and before he could complete his sentence I told him I was down!  I'm starting a pain diary for him and can't wait to get this all better!

Have a great weekend and Let's Go Mavs!!!

Wash Depression Off

Having a hard mental day dealing with the pain.  It's easy to get cought up in the pain and wondering when it will end.  But I'm lucky that this is the hardest thing I am having to deal with and I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and family and friends surrounding me.

God is good.

Bad News / Bubble Tea

I didn't get the news I wanted to hear from my surgeon this morning.  But, I have two more doctor appointments on Thursday to figure out my options.  Let's hope for some great options to try before getting spine fusion.

Jun brought me some bubble tea and it really helped my spirits.  It's pretty hard to feel unable to drive let alone walk normal so I'm looking around the house at little projects I can do.

Thank you all for the continued support and prayers!!

Happy Memorial Day!

Spent half the day in bed but let the pain killers win when I had to take them to make it to my brothers house to celebrate Memorial day with two of our veterans in my family!  It was definitely worth it, but can't wait to talk to my surgeon in the morning.

Thank you to all the veterans for fighting for our freedom!

Ready Set Go!

If you're watching this video that means you probably know me or follow my personal blog, Kitten and Pitbulls.  And if you know me, then you probably know about my back.

It's a wreck and I've babied it for too long now.  I'm ready to do anything I have to do to get it fixed.

Please pass this blog along to anyone you know that is going through or went through back pain.  I've been working towards getting my back better for over two years now and I'm not giving up yet.  I would love to be able to help someone going through the same thing and learn from them as well.

And please keep the prayers coming.  Everything is possible through Him.

Love, Sarah
